A few km from our Bed & Breakfast you can find the Abetone, with no doubts the most known and appreciated touristic destination by all the tourists from Middle Italy.
During winter, the touristic attraction par excellence is its ski area that features 50 km of ski slopes and 22 ski lifts.

The majestic ridge of Corno alle Scale (1944 m), the highest mountain of the park and of the Appennino Bolognese, marks the central axis of the safeguarded area.
Next to the two major towns, Lizzano in Belvedere and Vidiciatico, you can see respectively the wooded offshoot of Monte Pizzo (1194 m) and Monte Grande (1531 m)

Pistoia, city of art: it’s a multifaceted city that amazes with its elegance and refined beauty.
The city, built by the Romans, is full of churches, courtyards, palaces and artistic treasures from the past and from present times too. What you get is a surprising city with a discreet charm, perfect for those who love a slow, quality tourism.

Florence, the Renaissance cradle: inside its museums, palaces and churches it hosts some of the most important artistic treasures in the world.
Among the most known art and cult places of the city, you can visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptisery, the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello and the Academy Gallery.
The churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce, moreover, are real art galleries.

Lucca: amazing little city, it guards its treasures inside its 4 km long city walls, built in the XVI century, accessible by foot or by bike.
The plaza of the Amphitheater, striking an unique because of its oval shape, Palazzo Ducale, the botanical garden, the Guinigi tower (beautiful and characteristic because of a huge oak growing on the top of the tower), are some of the attractions of this nice town.
The Basilica of San Michele rises up on the ancient area of the Roman Court and was built in 1070, but its peculiarity is the strange shining coming from the great statue of S. Michael Archangel.

Bologna the learned, the fat, the turreted. These are the three epithets that better than any other definition describe the city.
Cradle of the most ancient University of Europe (founded in 1088), symbol of the Emilian wine and food tradition and Medieval center, full of walls, porticos, buildings and towers with great architectural value, Bologna is considered a dynamic an culturally lively city.
Bologna is the city with more porticos in the whole world. Porticos seem like a ribbon that connects streets, towers, palaces and cloisters with an overall length of 37 km. The longest one measures 3,5 km and connects the city to the hill, where the Santuario di San Luca rises.

The Suviana lake is an artificial lagoon built in 1928, during fascist age, in the Appennino Bolognese in the Limentra valley. The two shores touch the municipality of Camugnano on the east and the municipality of Castel di Casio on the west. Its water feeds two hydroelectric power stations, the most ancient downstream and the new one, that takes the water also from the Brasimone lake nearby, upstream. It is included in regional park of Suviana and Brasimone lakes.

The thermal baths of Porretta are among the most known in Italy, not only because of the amazing healthy qualities of the thermal water: in Porretta Terme you can also find several facilities like two swimming pools, one cinema and a shopping center.
